    Some info here

Seems the low bhp 2.0 was introduced as it does better on WLTP emissions than the 1.4

150bhp from a 2.0 litre turbo charged petrol engine these days is pretty poor. Funny how things turn on their head. Small capacity turbo engines with higher bhp were all the rage up to recently but we seem to be seeing a new trend of reversing that now. BMW are dropping their 1.5 litre 3 cylinder engine in favour of a detuned 2.0 litre 4 cylinder again in some of their new cars too.

Stuff like the Mondeo 1.5 TDCi was dropped for a while too in favour of the 2.0 version while they figured out how to skew the test cycle results.
