Is it ok to remove hardcore into a skip. Have 125sq meters of hardcore x 0.075 thick need removing. It comes in at 19 ton. Is it ok to remove this in a skip or is there weight restrictions on a skip for such a heavy load.

Should be no problem with the skip but the lorry might do a wheelie when it tries to lift it.

19 ton is around the load limit of an 8 wheeler with a grab, to take a load like that you'd need a skip 7 x 2.2 meters and about 2 meters high approx, i don't think I've ever seen a skip that big, you might have to make 2 loads of it

    Is my cals correct 125 square meters x 3 inch thick depth. 10x25x0.075 = 9.375 m3 x 2 = 18.75ton.

The large lorry with grab might just have to do. Would they damage tarmac lifting of it?

If you could put plastic under it and be there when hes grabbing it to help sweep it up for him it should be fine

Could try a hook loader skip. Lower level to load into and will take a fair big weight. Normally lifted by an 8 wheeler also so should be ok. Google hook loader and you'll get the idea.

You mightnt get it all in 1 skip ,but skip companies do that all the time , ring around and say how much you have to go ,and see whats recommend Ed.

Geta grab lorry to take it, put planks or similar underneath the jack's to protect the tarmac. far cheaper than 2 skips.

The last skip I got had a floor that was on its last legs, you could almost punch a hole through it by hand. The skip delivery person said "I've seen worse".

So make sure the skip hire company knows what you're intending for it.
