Anyone know the best settings for an Amiko free to air satellite box, to get the most and best free to air satellite channels?

If you have a look for an AutoBouquet plugin it will setup you channels for yuo with the option to scan FTA only, sorts them out for you and everything, you can set it to update automatically as well if you want.

Moved from Television. Satellite charter now applies.

Do a single satellite channel scan on Astra 28.2
    Select FTA only
    Select blind scan
Highlight and delete unwanted channels or alternatively highlight and move the ones you want to the beginning of list.

Thanks, it was just there when we moved in and somehow we had ALL the Sky channels(including movies) but gradually as time went on... Sky channels disappeared and all that was left was the free channels. Now there are very few if any of them and they keep disappearing or becoming locked, i will give what you said a go. Thanks

    Should also point out that...
Wheras there IS a satellite dish connected, there is NOT an antenna connected but the box IS connected to the broadband via a LAN cable, i haven't figured out WHY it needs an internet connection though?

It sounds like it was used for piracy at one stage, a now defunct method which still probably cannot be discussed here.
The LAN cable in conjunction with the satellite connection would have facilitated this.
    Factory software probably changed too.
Which could be why you cant do a channel scan as I advised, although that I cannot say for sure.
