Hi, I have this Davenport Desk that I believed was from the 1880s.
It has the initials I'D carved into the wood in hidden places all over the desk
I've recently found two stickers on the back of the desk (please see photos) can anyone tell me what they are and if they can help to date the desk.
    Thanks

With those stickers I would have said 1980's rather than 1880's - how about a picture of the desk itself?

It's a reproduction. The initials are stamp marks from a factory to help identify the parts as belonging to a particular production batch run. The QC 1 identifies a particular quality inspection station as having inspected the product before it was loaded and shipped out. The type faced sticker is certainly not much older than a couple of decades and indicated the order specification for the buyers order.

Might still be a nice piece of furniture and depending on quality it may still have reasonable monetary value, but it's not an original. Hope that helps and doesn't disappoint.
