    Hi,

I currently have a 2008 Ford Focus (1.6 diesel). Have had a plethora of problems with it since purchasing it and I'm now looking to move it on.

    My requirements are:
    - €10,000 max
    - 2012 or newer
    - Preferably a diesel and at least a 1.6 (been doing more driving recently)
    - Preferably something that actually moves when you put the foot down

Ideally this would be a car that I won't be needing to put a lot of money into, any suggestions?

    Thanks in advance!

    An Opel Astra maybe?

    Check out KylemoreCars.ie

They always have loas of deals but you got to be quick to get the good one.

There was a lovely actually two lovely Honda HRV's there a couple of weeks ago but one was mid spec the other was top spec. It had leather seats, heated seats, all electrics, reverse camera, smart cruise control etc and was going for a great price.

Here is a lovely Astra in budget,

It's a ongoing wonder that everybody doesn't drive these.

There's enough threads lately hammering mazda diesels. Don't be giving the OP ideas.

    Leon?

You have to admit they are very classy do. I am not the biggest Mercedes fan by the way. Never liked the big ugly grill they used but that E class and the one before it were very classy and well built. My uncle bought one brand new way back in 2007 and its still going. Has never needed a light bulb changed and has been faultless according to my Cousin who has it now. The new Mercedes cars are much nicer do inside and out now.

I had the exact budget and requirements as the OP.
After much deliberations, I went for an Octavia in October.
    I'm happy with it
