Oil burner issue

    Awoke this morning to the hum of my oil burner. Only problem is I knew it wasn't switched on or even timed to come on.
    Checked my controls in the house and in off position with no lights on. Anyone any had problems like this or even came across this.

    Perhaps the pump on a pipe stat ?

    Sorry, havn't a clue about that. But this has never happened before and also oil control was in off position.
    Once I put switch to timed and then off again it stopped. Could of been coincidental.

    Probably came on with the frost stat-if fitted.

    Sorry only got installed Last year, know nothing about them.Its a Grant Vortex condenser model, 50-90 fitted outside if that is of any use
