I have a bed base that i want to saw apart. I see a Bosch psa 700e sabre saw for £65 on amazon. Is there any cheap brand that is pretty good in comparison. For example i am no diy person but i occasionally make use of an electronic drill which was cheap but very good without being a major brand.

What i am saying is i can make minimal use of the saw in the future but trying to avoid blowing unnecessary money if possible.

I’d just buy a hand saw in that case

I have one of those Bosch ones and tbh it’s not worth paying much of a premium for.

Have a look in B&Q, few for under €50.00
    Inc. 2 blades.

Got one in Lidl last year - Some machine - have done a load of work with it - Good and safe for smaller jobs when chainsaw not required. Stocked up on blades too when they were there

Maybe a reciprocating saw would suit your needs, very useful.
Make short work of a bed base! Blades available for most materials.
See em in Argos at xmas for €60!

Think that's what op is looking at.

My friend (a plumber) had one almost identical to the one you linked. He got 7 or 8 years of constant use out of it & only got rid of it in exchange for a much more expensive cordless one.
