Gravity Fed Shower Pump - 4 Ensuites

Hi, recently upgraded 4 ensuites and main bathroom in house. Showers in each en-suite are gravity fed mixer showers fed from hot water tank in hot press.
Enquired about getting pump fitted for showers only and plumper told me that they would have to take up floors put down new pipes back from each shower to hot press to do this. Seemed like too much disruption at the time so just went with gravity fed (no pump) install.

Plumber said they could fit a pump in hot press which would pressurize whole house - showers, taps toilets etc but I didn’t fancy a noisy pump going off every time someone flushed a toilet or ran a tap in the middle of the night.

Now I’m regretting not getting the pipes laid for showers. Pressure and water flow is brutal.

My question is if I get the pump which pressurizes whole house fitted can I turn it in and off from a switch on the wall so that it’s only on when shower is being used or when we wanted to fill the bath?
Can the pump allow water flow through it when not powered up for the other taps toilets etc?

Would anyone have any recommendations on a good pump that would work in this situation?

Thanks for any advice in advance.

    Yes.

Another option is put the pump on a timer so it will never kick in, in the middle of the night. You should be looking for a 3 bar brass body house pump. Plastic body ones are cheaper but a hell of a lot noisier. Brass body will last longer. Personally I'd look at Stuart Turner or Salamander pumps. Both come with a 5 years parts & labour warranty

I have a neg head Stuart turner pump with brass impellers fitted in 2007, still going strong. Try put pump on something to keep it quiet when installing it.
