Quick one for ye learned folks of the motor forum....

My brother in law has offered to sell me his commercial vehicle - 2017 mitsilbushi L200 for a very good price. Its in great condition and I'd love to buy it but I would have to tax it privately and insure it privately also.

Is it possible and straight forward to do?

Taxing privately is easy to do.
But it will most likely be expensive.
Taxed at the cc rate . Pre 2008 on a commercial vehicle afaik.
Insurance could bd more difficult. On of the lads as t work had a privately insured van and found thexprice was going up each year and not many companies wanting to quote
