Temperature gauge

    2008 C220 CDI

Recently I've noticed the tempature gauge sitting really low, even after aong spin, 1 hour+. Generally in and around 50-60, the highest I've seen recently is just under 80 and that was tonight while waiting at the car wash.

Issue with the stat seems to be Google's diagnosis, any thoughts?

Car was serviced about 2-3 weeks ago, seems to have happened after that but could be coincidence.

    Thanks.

    Possible a stuck open thermostat.

Thanks. Is it an easy fix? Wouldn't be great with cars but would give it a go, or am I as well off bringing it to a garage?

I'll be in the garage for something else the week after next anyway. Any issue leaving it that long?

More than likely a thermostat stuck open. Happened on a few of my cars. New stat sorted it.

No issue leaving it a week. Let them know beforehand so they can order the part.

    If you wanna DIY it.

Look on mickgarage for the thermostat itself.
