Did a quick search and didn't find anything definitive.

What are the must have apps for a BEV driver in Ireland?

What car do you have. I've gen 1.5 leaf and I find the following great

    Charging monitor (leaf based)
    Zap map
    My leaf
    Leaf spy pro
    A better route planner
    Ecar connect
    Bosch charge my EV
    Easy go
    Nissan EV

    NeedToCharge

Many people leave a note on the dash when they leave the car on a charger, with a phone number or an indication of when they're due back.

But some people don't like leaving their phone number on display, some people forget/lose their pen, some people leave a note saying "back at 3pm" but then get delayed.

NeedToCharge solves all those issues. My car has a disc permanently on display that let's anyone contact me via the needtocharge app.

    You can survive with none.
It depends on your driving pattern.

I have the bmw app purely to activate pre heating etc

    Don’t use any other app.

I recommend plug share app. It has the most chargers of any app in Ireland and lots of non esb chargers such as lidl. Its easy to use. It cannot be used to start chargers nor has real time information, but it is very handy if planning a trip. Filter by connector type. E.g. for a Kona select CCS and you will only see the fast chargers you can use, including the easygo, ionity and one lidl fast one. You need to switch app to start the chargers, but its great for finding them.

Me too. It is community driven, it has the most comprehensive map of chargers. You can let other users know how long your staying at a charger fast or slow, you can add tips.

Other users can ask you about the experience with a particular charger which you have visited. Based on community checkings the chargers are rated 0-10. For example you would know that a charger rated 3 needs a plan B. If you read the comments of other users you would know what are the usual problems. Another example: FCP Sandyford Luas P&R. Available on ecars app you go there and it is ICED. Plugshare might tell you that by the fact that there is a frequent ICE-ing spot, or even better, somebody found it ICED minutes before you.

Yes, I've also found PlugShare the most useful app.
