    Turbo went in CMax yesterday
Was going to just rebuild the turbo, not too hard a job
But the question I have is
Anyone know any Irish sellers of genuine Garrett rebuild kits?

You could try these guys. They rebuilt the turbo on my Audi Allroad a few months back. They are well regarded.

The question is why did your turbo fail? There has to be an underlying problem and if you don't solve it then the reconditioned one won't last long.

Thought in passing, which may influence the decision. Most modern turbos require specific calibration to get the setting of the flow control system /wastegate correct, and this applies to both vacuum and electrically operated units, and that requires the use of a complex flow rig, which only turbo specialists tend to have available, so a home rebuild is unlikely to deliver the expected result.

Shore, if it was easy, everybody would be doin it.😁

You can buy a new cartridge = that has been balanced and checked. Just replace it with the old one. Dirveshaft services in Dublin. for your vehicle they are about 135 +vat

That's pretty common. Mine was an object that hit the turbo from the exhaust side. Guessing it may have been the tip of a glow plug, but an odd one.
