LHR T2 Connection with separate tickets

    I'm flying from Zagreb to London Heathrow T2 with Croatia Airlines. The flight arrives at 16:10. I plan to fly to Dublin with Aer Lingus at 19:10. Is this enough time? I'll have checked luggage so will have to collect and recheck it with EI.

    Would it be safer to book the 20:10 flight? I know sometimes EI let you move to an earlier flight for free but it will be an Avios booking so I don't know if that will affect it.

    Personally I would book the later flight and if all is well try to change to the earlier flight.

    If that's Crotia Airlines flight OU490 (ZAG-LHR), it has a recent history of arriving early. Of the last four flights, the latest arrival time was 15:46 so three hours will be more than enough to make the connection.

    Yes it's OU490. It does seem to have a very good OTP but often in the summer there can be delays so I went with the 20:10 flight just to be safe. Hopefully they'll let me move to an earlier flight. I managed to do that at LGW before without any bother.
