    Hi all,

I hope that this is ok to ask.

I bought a new Samsung TV a couple of weeks ago from Richer Sounds here on boards. It is a fine tv - Samsung QE55Q60R.

Its the first TV of this type that I've had - I only change about every 10 years when the last TV breaks!

I am hopeless with technology but my wife has asked if I can get the BBC & ITV players. I know that I must install a VPN and change some settings to the UK.

Does anyone know an easy to use VPN (free or paid) that a technophobe eejit like me can put on a Samsung?

    Many thanks!

I use Identity Cloaker to avail of iPlayer via laptop.

I've asked about using with a Smart TV but their tech support feedback is "no reliable way to incorporate that yet" Plus this including ref to Samsung...

"Unfortunately, Smart TVs have extremely limited features and have no support for VPN of any sort. Some Smart TVs, notably some Panasonic TVs, have at least support for proxy servers so there is a way to make it work then, albeit some work is required. Unfortunately, a lot of other Smart TVs - for example most Samsung TVs, have no proxy server or VPN support."

Subscribe to a Smart DNS service and set it up on your router. I use these guys - works fine for iPlayer / Hulu / HBO / CBS.

I have An Amazon TV Box connected to my TV as I have Amazon Prime. I have BBC iPlayer and ITV Hub on the Amazon box and use VPN Unlimited as a VPN. Works well as I have RTE Player on the Samsung Smarthub then

SmartDNS worked fine for me for all ondemand services - except Netflix (had to restart several times each programme - dealbreaker, in the end).
Have had to make do with All4, but if anyone knows on that'll work reliably with Netflix.....
