Went into a multi brand dealership (DG honda) looking for genuine honda wiper blades, was sold the wrong type, one is too short for rain sensor.

Emailed them when i realised the problem and i never got a response, so a week later i go down and tell them the problem and he literally said "computer said they're right" so i got a refund.

I then emailed another multi brand dealership (Des Darcey motors)in swords and haven't heard a wisper in the last few days.

(And for the people who ask why didnt i call, i say why do they have a parts enquiry section on their website)

So today i email cox motors in the uk where they respond within the hour and i inform them of the crap service i received here, they were very helpful and very responsive and even taking shipping into account they are a little cheaper and kept me informed about the stages of dispatch.

How is it that for a simple thing like wiper blades i have to buy from the uk.
I don't think i will ever buy anything from that depressing dg gowan motors as i always feel annoyed when i drop my car into them. (Bad vibes from them).

Similar experience here with same brand main dealer, emailed parts enquiry form on website, got no response whatsoever after a week, rang them to enquire did they have the parts, it felt like I was ordering parts for the MIR space station and not parts to service an average car. Was promised a call back, didn't get it, went the UK route and had similar much better experience.

The trouble with suppliers could be main dealers or motor factors have your car details on record and supply the parts listed for that car but until checked side by side could be wrong.

P307 in for nct fail rear discs and pads and only 1 listing, but found out when trying to fit them the stub axle was bigger so discs would not fit because of smaller bearing .Things happen with upgrades and not getting listed.

Will the uk ones be correct as did you give sizes for wiper blades also?

I had to give my vin number and the ones i bought have the size advertised, i had measured the old ones before and they match.

I think some of their systems are not updated or in fact useless. One of my old cars was showing on their system as a ford transit lol.

Rethinking is the rain sensor not built into the windscreen mirror and nothing to do with wipers.

Don't know about Honda but most of them are, but you need a wiper long enough to clear the windscreen where the sensor is fir it to work, I assume that was the problem here

They obviously don't want your business, not spending enough, typical bad customer 6i reckon, something similar happened to me 9/10 years ago Toyota dealer Cork,I'd close on 9,000e in my pocket and a car to trade in, dressed in working gear I was bypassed by 2 salesmen,in favour of a guy 8n a suit, and a young couple, despite being in the showroom before them, girl behind the counter didnt help by telling them, all i got was" be with you shortly"needless to say I legged it( also had a car to trade in)say they assumed I hadn't a lot to spend

I notice that everywhere if I’m dressed in trackies and runners vs good shirt, pants and shoes the reaction and treatment/vibe can be very different
