    Hi All,

If I sell a car that has tax in arrears, because it has been off road and unused, but not declared off road, if I sell the car does the new owner incur that tax?
Or do I now have to pay that tax?

Even if it was wasn’t declared off the road once the car is sold neither the buyer or seller has to pay the tax owed

Yes. No tax owed however far too many buyers try to claim that they will have to back tax as an excuse to get some money off.
