Irish ads on Drama

Just realised that all the ads on Drama are Irish. Presumably the scan realised I am in Dublin and selected the appropriate Drama channel??? My box is a Zgemma H7s and was connected to the Internet during the scan.

Any ideas? Most other satellite channels (that I've noticed) are using UK ads.

I wasn't aware of that until you posted .....

there are two active transmissions for Drama, one of which has Irish ads and the other English ads.

    Thanks John boy,

I think that's fascinating, not only that Drama would transmit a specifically Irish targeted channel, but that the box software is written to facilitate it. I think my idea that the install process interogated the box to determine it's physical location is feasible. Presumably, had it not been connected to the Internet, it would have defaulted to the UK version.

Edit: hah! Probably over thinking this. An epg search shows both channels on my box, and by sheer good fortune I selected the Irish one when creating my bouquets manually. So, no need for the fancy software leaps and bounds. (This is probably why I'm a drama fan!!!!)

I do not know whether that is the case or not.
I had used the UK transmission here ...... had a 50/50 chance of either :D

Similar might well have happened with your receiver, I just do not know.

It was a surprise to me that it was showing Irish ads also ..... Hopefully they will pay for the transmission to help ensure it remains ;)
