Is it compulsory or illegal not to have fire exit in every bedroom in an apartment?

what happens if I can only escape from the window in the living room which is also where the main entrance is?

Or must I have a fire exit at the rear of the apartment??

I'd say you have this thread in the wrong place... but serious answer..
No is the short answer you can exit your bedroom into the hall within the apt which is (should) be constructed as a protected corridor. If there is no hallway and your bedroom exits straight into an open plan living kitchen area (classed as an 'inner room') then yes you should have alternative means of escape ie though a window.

Does your bedroom not have a window? and what size is it?
