I don't know if this is the right forum, but Aldi have floodlights in store next week. Has anyone bought them before? I was wondering if they are any good. Thanks.

Well if they are any good then they would be a bargain. I'd be interested in them. BTW. What forum should the op have posted in

@tfitzgerald, I have posted in the Electrical section of Home and Garden. Hopefully an electrician or someone in the know will answer.

Can’t comment on the ALDI ones but bought these and they are excellent. There is different wattage available. Have 9w sensor light from Lidl also & the light is terrible compared to the these I know they are 100w but it’s like walking around in daylight compared to the Lidl light.

I bought a similar floodlight from Lidl.
It's 10 watt led and is very good for lighting up the back yard up to a distance of appox 20 feet..
It also has a motion sensor which the one in aldi doesn't have as far as i can make out from the description on their website. But other than that they seem to be the same..
I have it installed about 2 years now and it's still working fine.

I got a 30W PIR from Amazon last February to replace an old rusted 500W light and it's been grand so far. More expensive than the Aldi one, but it's brighter and has the motion sensor. It is noticeably cooler in colour compared to the old light, that might bother some.
