    Hi everyone,
I'm looking to head to the UK to pick up a 14/15 Ford Fiesta st 1.6 petrol. I can't find the exact model on the new revenue.ie spreadsheet. Just wondering has anyone purchased and paid the new NOx tax on one of these since the new year.

If so ,how much did it cost, I have the ball park figure for the vrt through the calculator, but there's only a spreadsheet list of models for the NOx with no ST listed.

    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks.

Doesn’t do it anymore, it calculated the cost if you provide the nox value though.

Apparently it wasn’t really giving out the correct information

Yeah just tried it there myself. As you said you need the NOx value, which I can't find. Thanks anyway.

The absolute most it can be for a petrol is €600.

Just seen the max 600. Hoping it will be a bit less. Its for the missus. She's adamant she's wants a fiesta. She doesn't know what an ST is. I've a work vehicle, so if we go down the fiesta route at least an St should be a bit of craic for the weekend. Anyone here have one or driven one?

It will of course be less.

If you contact a UK seller, ask them what it says on the v5. It should have the nox figure on it.

NOx figure for a 2009 Ford Fiesta 1.6 would be 16 milligrams per kilo meter, 2014 would have basically the same as i reckon it is a non hybrid category car. Please find it here: www dot emissionsfinder dot com

Only briefly driven one but know a few people that have one , in the small amount of time I've driven it it made a lasting impression and it's a hoot, one of the best hot hatches you can buy for cost/fun. get an ST2 or ST3 though, the ST1 is a bit sparce on features. You can get a factory fitted Mountune tuning on them which added more bhp and torque and I think it changes the gearing a bit, not necessary really but worth noting if you see one that has It.

    I've owned 2 of them.

Great cars and a lot of fun. Ride is firm but not back breaking. Easy enough to live with as a daily driver.

Running costs aren't bad at all considering.

Spec isn't that important - an ST1 has everything you'd need.

    ST1 has neither.

I imagine the NOX charge on a Euro5 car would be very minimal.

I had one from new for 2 and half years. Great car, brilliant fun to drive. Ride is pretty firm alright especially on bad roads. If you get a 2016+ model they revised the rear suspension and all got the updated rear end that went into the ST200, those ones aren't supposed to be as harsh as the earlier ones. Mine was one of these builds.

For the amount extra it would cost to buy an ST2 or ST3 I would definitely try get the better spec model. The heated half leather seats in the ST2 are worth it alone and the LED DRL's.

    Better for resale too.

    ST1 has neither.

If there was a spec that had them, you'd be recommending that one instead.

I've just picked up a 171 ST that came from UK originally and the V5 says 0.010 g/km for NOx.

Are you a mind reader or something?

All I'm saying is that a Fiesta ST1 is plenty well enough equipped to do the job. It's a hot hatch and the most important things in one of those are engine, chassis, brakes and the drivetrain. An ST1 has exactly the same versions of them as an ST3.

It also has a/c (manual), abs, traction control, and Recaro seats (cloth), heated front screen.

Having owned one (and also having owned an ST2) the spec. difference isn't
overly important or even noticeable day to day, so a used ST1 will be a better value purchase.

Picked up the st2 on Saturday and paid the vrt and nox yesterday. Worked out at 65 euro for the nox. So not much in the end.

Loving the car. A lot more hardcore than I imagined (for me anyway) and an absolute blast to drive. I'm using any excuse to take her out for a spin in the evenings. Just feels spot on, from the steering , gear change and surprisingly planted on corners. Also plenty of speed if I need it. Loving it to be honest.
