    I have been one of the first people on here to get FTTH about 3 or 4 years ago now I'd say and have been enjoying 1Gb/s :D for all that time. But recently I sold my house and am moving on to better things. Building in the Country side hopefully (lets go NBP...;););))

    Anyway I have just moved into a rental house about a stones throw from UCC (off college road) and got Eir to move my package over. I knew I couldnt get FTTH but at least the check availability said I could get up to 100mb/s.

    How wrong was I:mad::(

    Apparently there is no room in the cabinet and I have to wait until someone decide to cancel theirs......what this also means I cant get Sky or Vodafone either as they use Eir copper. Virgin media doent go down my street either so it look like I am stick with 4g for Three.....

    I can see siro Fibre on poles on two neighboring streets but for some reason they didn't bother coming down my one.

    Man not having broadband when I am a 5 minute walk to UCC seems a bit ridiculous. Any suggestions will I wait it out until sometime somewhere someone decides to not have BB, but talking to Eir I cant get a straight answer.
