Yea used them there recently, I think they just contract out plumbers to do the work, the lads they sent out were great at doing my replacement, cost wise I guess you could get it done on the cheap if you bought the boiler yourself and knew a good plumber.

It did take a couple of weeks to fit me in, but I guess it’s somewhat of a good sign that they were busy, no complaints with the job at all.

Thats great begbysback, thanks for the feedback. They are coming out to do the initial quote on Thursday so hopefully the price will be ok as well !

Most suppliers require a RGI number (ID) or they won't sell the boiler. The good plumber that you might know has to be RGI by law & he has to issue you a certificate. Most manufacturers won't honour the warranty if you don't have a RGI cert.

Good point - thanks very much for the feedback. Got two local companies recommended to me so going to get quotes from them both.

How did you get on with the quotes from the three companies?

All three were in and around the same price. Ended up going with one of the local guys for exactly the reason Tom44 said above. Both local companies offered parts and labour for the term of the warranty where as Swyft Energy only offer you 12 months warranty on the work and then after that you have to contact the manufacturer of the boiler itself.

Couldnt be bothered with that so stuck with the local corwd :-) Thanks for the advice everyone !
