My 6 year old needs a new car seat , she has been in a recaro since 2 and i have found it great , very sturdy etc.

Looked in smiths for bigger one and theres nothing i would put my child in , most looked very flimsy.

Can anybody recommend one , or where to look?
Halfords only have their own brand stuff , which again doesnt suit

I've just got my 6yr old son in a booster. He's a bit tall for seats.

If you want some ideas on seats that might interest you, here might be a start:

6 year olds should be in high backs. No one should be in a booster seat, ever.

Recaro Monza is a good high-back seat OP. https://www.recaro-kids.com/child-seats.html

    Boosters are useless

A booster is more than adequate with the correct height, weight and usage. It's not being plonked onto a loose stool.

Halfords do them, but they're out of stock on the Monzas online at present.

Much better in a high back booster it keeps the seat belt in correct spot and stops them moving around where it moves out of position. No way is your 6 year old to tall for one. My 10 year old is still in one and she's 146cm tall still fits comfortably. My 11 year old use's a booster, in hindsite I'd have never let her out of the highback till she was tall enough. I'm constantly having to tell her to sit up or stop leaning out of the seat. No way would she go back in one now. She's nearly tall enough though and won't be on the booster much longer.

Have this one now for 10 year old.

Had dearer ones when they were younger but this one was good value. It's also one of the narrowest high back booster I could find as we needed to able to use the middle seat sometimes. A lot of car seats have massive side bolsters on them.

Seems to be a huge number of parents who let there kids out of car seats well before they are the right height 150cm or weight 36kg
