Signing off social using MyGovID.ie?

    Hi all

I've signed up to MyGovID.ie and am looking for where the option to sign off the social is. I've checked every section and cannot for the life of me see anything that could be it.

I'd really appreciate any help at all please as it is driving me mental and I'd much rather not have to go into the social offices as they're a nightmare.

Does anyone have any tips or advice please? The "help" section is actually quite UNHELPFUL and you can't contact the website directly as an error comes up.
Not sure if I'm posting this in the right area but I very rarely use Boards.

    Thanks in advance

Regarding your MyGovId account, is it a basic one or have you got it verified? You will probably need to get it verified in order to access all the services available online.

If your MyGovId account is already verified, then Welfare services (including the option to sign off benefits) is available at https://services.mywelfare.ie/. You log on to this portal using your MyGovId credentials. The link to this MyWelfare service should also be available from the mygovid.ie portal under "Show All Services" at the top of the page.

Nevertheless, try logging on to the MyWelfare page directly via the above link. Once you are logged in, you should be able to see the details of your benefits, and you should even see the option to close your claim. I used this option just last week to sign off jobseekers benefit.
