Hi All, Just looking for some advice / direction. My others half's aunt has roughly 12 acres which she's considering planting preferably with broadleaf / native species. (Her husband died 2018 so there's no one to farm the land)
It's good limestone type land - loads of silage bales was taken off it last year.
Is there some scheme where she could employ a contractor to do all the work- ploughing, planting etc. (no fencing required) and the contractor would get some of the grant as payment ?? Would Teagasc be able to help her in this regard.
    Thanks M.

Teagasc website will explain the forestry schemes available at the moment.Plenty of forestry companies out there to do the work. Some of the grant might be an issue though, they normally work for the whole grant.
