hi guys sorry if im posting this in wrong section.
im a eir broandband customer and the texted me today offering me there eir sim only deal free for 12 mths with unlimited calls texts data and after 12 mths 19.99 on a 30 day contract.

my question is can I take this out and cancel come near the end of the 12 mths?.I currently pay 55 euros a mth for 150mb broadband, would I still pay my 55 per mth after canceling the eir sim only deal inside the 12 mths?

im currently getting the amazon prime video free for 12 mths and will also cancel that when it comes near the 12 mths.

Eir own GoMo. It's the exact same coverage. Gomo was 9.99 per month for unlimited calls, texts and data (80gig fair usage). Its sim only on a monthly rolling contract. Cancel at any time. It's gone up to 12.99 per month for life. This would be a far better deal over a period of a few years. The only downside is that I'd imagine 5G would never be available on this lifetime plan

My argument would be that after 12 months the GoMo offer may be gone to19.99 but its all crystal ball gazing.

Are eir offering unlimited data too?

The gomo price is advertised as for life, however if they do change that you can just change.

Many on GoMo are saying 80 gigs isn't enough but the 30 gb mentioned above would be fine for me. 30 gb wouldn't be a deal breaker for me

Edit: just reread your post. 30 gig EU roaming is huge. I think 10 gig is standard

Yes, you can cancel the free sim whenever you like.
The €55 home Broadband is a separate issue and the price can change whenever eir feel like it. It has nothing to do with the Sim-only offer.
They were offering much the same deal to new Home BB customers last Spring.

edit: I would be fairly sure that they are not offering totally unlimited Mobile Data. There will be a Cap somewhere in the T&C's.

that's cool as long as it won,t interfere in my 55 per mth broadband after I cancel the sim only deal inside the 12 mths.
not bothered about the unlimited data as I would not be a heavey user of data considering I have there wifi here in the house.so would only be using the data on my travels etc

think I will go with the eir only sim deal free for 12 mths, will ring to avail of the offer tomorrow.

As I'm sure you're aware VF probably have the best mobile coverage in Ireland (hence the high prices :)). Eir are not too far behind regarding coverage, but if you can (with this deal) just get the sim and try it out for a few days before porting over your number just to ensure you're happy with the coverage.

If you currently have a 'special deal' with VF you will lose this when you leave them.....although they do appear to be getting slightly cheaper these days so you may well end up with a better deal in 12 months time (assuming you go back to VF).

am keeping my VF deal and number separate from the eir sim only deal,my phone is dual sim.so will be looking for a new number with the eir only sim deal.
my VF sim is pay as you go.

i think they mean the op to take up gomo now rather than wait 12 months as the price could rise, they arent saying it is going to rise for the customers already signed up

That's probably my fault. My posts aren't always as clear as I'd like them to be.
