Hey, I have a walker tv with built in satellite tuner to receive free to air, saorview. I had everything fine, but then had to try to install everything again over the paramount/spike move, now I have scanned, but it's only scnning for Astra, I'm not receiving e4+1 etc, and a lot of other channels, anyone got any suggestions?

the tv was bought in 2014 WP40vs2

I have a satellite running to it, that also hooks up to 2 more tv's, and I am also receiving rte etc from an antenna.

Some of those tvs with satellite tuner have a lot of free channels come up as encrypted (with a lock beside them) you have to do a scan with "scan encrypted channels on" and do an auto scan which will bring in 700 or so channels which is a pain. If you know what your at you can go to transponder scan and manually scan the transponder for the channels you are missing. https://www.lyngsat.com/Astra-2E-2F-2G.html will give you the numbers you need. It's a pain but when set up it's fine. You will see a lock beside channel but it will open.

Did you do a factory reset on the TV, if so the satellite transponder settings would have reverted to what installed in 2014 and any changes since then lost.

If you pop Navarre a PM he may be able to sort you out with an up to date Walker channel list that can be downloaded to the TV from a USB drive - https://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?p=108790741

Some discussion here about editing the list yourself - https://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?p=109383816#post109383816

Thanks lads, I got it working, it's satisfactory-just about, but I would not advise anyone to get a combi tv-it's a pain-I have 2 other tv's connected to the satellite with an old sky box and an old lidl box, they are a doddle to tune, the combi is a disaster, it takes an evening-

@TheCush, thanks, I will make not of that and use it the next time, right now I don't want to touch it, but I think it needs to be updated alright :(

I have 2 combis, a Walker and a Toshiba, very happy with them. One remote control and all channels in a single list, no extra boxes attached. Tuning I find straightforward.

I can make a list of channels from my Walker if you like in the coming weeks, some renovation works going on here at the moment. Just need to know what kind of order you want the channels in, PM me if you wish.
