How much do Centra store managers get paid?

I know you might say that their pay depends on the size of the store, and other things too, but would it really vary that much? And I'm also curious how much assistant managers get paid, as well as supervisors? The store manager where I worked does 50 hours a week! I'm just curious how much he'd be on?

It's always come as a surprise to me, to realise that a manager I'd have dealt with, would have actually worked as managers in other stores before... like Tesco, Smyths, etc, and to realise what long travelling distances they would have had. But if started out a job in any given Centra you might assume that your manager worked his way up within that store.

I've also wondered about the staff who weren't supervisors who would be have been there 5 years... if they'd be on minimum wage, or would they be on a little bit more.

Centra do not own the stores, Centra is just a brand name. The stores are privately owned, in the case of my local centra the store manager is the owner.

    Well I already knew that didn't I.

In fairness to the poster they were only pointing out the obvious. It wasn't very clear from your post that you were aware of this.

In relation to your question, it will vary from store to store so nobody could give you a definite figure.

I was working as Centra manager, worked my way up, first year was paid 34k, did all sorts of hours, following years got upto 37k, no more than that. No bonus etc. Moved to Spar for 39k. As someone mentioned, centra stores are privately owned, and salary depends on the owners, store size, sales etc.

Well there's the answer they are individually owned shops. The fact that they are part of the Centra franchise is probably fairly irreverent unless Centra has guidelines on such matters.

The owner will offer a salary they think will attract someone competent and hard working enough to do the job, no more no less.
There will be a large variance depending on store.

Tuxy, you are absolutely right. Some stores do sales up to 80k pw, some 180k, some have 20 staff to manage, some 60 or more. It really depends on sales, staff numbers etc. Musgraves have no guidelines on managers or anyones salary..

All Supervalu and Centra stores would offer a different range of salaries, majority are privately owed.

An Assistant Manager in a Supervalu would be on between 25k-25k. A store manager salary would range from 35k-50k depending on experience / store size / turnover. So many factors so there is no such thing as a set salary as with Aldi's or the Lidl's of this world.

The salaries are negotiable in such positions.
