I'm a virgin media customer, and want to watch the McGregor fight this sat night.
    It's not available through VM.
If I borrow a sky box from a friend, can I use it to watch the fight in my own house somehow?
Would a sky sports subscription be needed in the first place?
    TIA...

You would need a satellite dish but it would work.

It's clearly against the terms and conditions of the Sky contract though.

Yeah this will work once there is a satellite dish at your house and the Sky box has some sort of active subscription.

Fight is not on Sky Sports, it's on BT Sport and is not PPV.

Even if it were on Sky Box Office the above advice isn’t necessarily true any more depending on the type of Sky box - a Sky Q box usually won’t work with a satellite dish that’s only ever been used for FTA, it needs to have either a Sky Q LNB or hybrid LNB. And as mentioned above it is against terms and conditions.

Note - the fight *is* PPV - just on BT Box Office rather than Sky

The €29.95 price tag suggests otherwise. An outrageous price considering it is £19.95 for UK viewers. That's some exchange rate they're using.

Apologies I'm wrong, I had seen the early fights on normal BT for Saturday night assumed this was too. Ffs, ppv and €30 this side of the water is insane.

It's the special "Paddy inexplicably still idolises <mod: deleted> rate. Seems fair.

€29.95 is a bit much for a fight that will be on in the early hours of the morning.

It's not the first PPV with that price tag.

    If you’re in the States, it’s $65...

Pay Per View prices over in America were always expensive and the bars will charge you to watch the fight aswell.

I will have to talk to a telecoms fella up the road who owes me a few favours.
