Huawei F2000 modem & smart dns?

I am trying to setup EIR F2000 for Smart DNS. I have Firmware Version: V100R001C59B050. I have disabled ipv6 according to https://editorsean.com/articles/fix-slow-eir-f2000-wi-fi/#disable_ipv6

Smart DNS said the router did not support static IP routing which is needed to block google DNS.

How we can the static route (static IP rule) be added using/choosing the LAN interface?

Has anyone done it with this modem?

I had this set up by just changing the DNS settings in the router. Didn't set up any static routes or DMZ. But I wasn't attempting to route Netflix.

Thanks for the reply, that's interesting.

Maybe not the same use case....Smart DBS support dialed into my machine and had a look at the F2000 webadmin and said it was not possible!

They advised securing a "open wrt" or "dd-wrt", Linux based, routers: https://openwrt.org/toh/views/toh_available_864
