I recently lost my job so I signed up for jobseekers allowance for the first time. I got my claim confirmed today with my day to collect however in the letter it also said "if you are fully unemployed you are required to sign at" my intreo office with a date and time for two weeks away.

Do I not sign in every week at the post office? Also, when I go to sign in at the Intreo office on the date in the letter do I do that at reception or do I have to take a ticket and go to the hatch?

When you go to the PO every week you are signing for your Jobseekers payment. You also have to attend your local SW office once a month to “sign on” to be maintained on the live register.
Failure to attend either of these appointments without giving prior notice will mean your payment will be suspended immediately.
Go to the hatch to sign on in your local SW office .
