Mira Go Manual Power Shower carbon brushes.

Hi

Mira told me that I cannot change the brushes on the Mira Go Power Shower. I have to buy a new motor which is just cheaper than a new Mira Go.

Anyone confirm this?

Reason I ask I was also told that they did not sell the brushes for a Mira Event Power Shower but I just bought oversized brushes on ebay and shaved them down to fit and they worked perfectly.
So I don't want to disassemble the Mira Go and maybe someone has a way around changing the brushes.

Mira prefer to sell overpriced motors rather than selling carbon brushes.

Not confined to Mira, most manufacturers make disposable motors these days.
Look at Nilfisk, their vacuum motors used to be unbeatable and fully serviceable bearings etc. now can only buy a plastic Ametek instead of the massive steel motor that used to be used.
