Hi please bear with me on this long winded post.

Im in a new build house 2.5 years and have been with eir since we built, got cabling put in by eir and got connected up.
we had no eircode at the time and they needed one to setup account, salesperson asked to use a neighbours one and i was happy enough as it was the inlaws house.

we got connected up and have a stable 4 mb connection.

this time last year ftth was activated on our road, i called up and got signed up for it, got my appointment for connection from kn and got off the phone smiling.

That was the last time i got off the phone from eir smiling.

8 visits from KN later and one of the guys explained that they could not connect to the point as the wrong post code is attached to the house.

So I take my time and get our eircode sorted and think well that will sort it..nope!!!

eir cant change the account details, they had agrreed to cancel the account but that is lost in the system and cant be cancelled either!!

If i had hair i would have torn it out at this stage.

So if i change to vodafone at the end of my contract which is in a fortnight will they be able to connect it....does any one Know what my options are at this stage!!??

any help would be greatfully appreciated

Is your eircode showing up as being fibre enabled on https://fibrerollout.ie/rollout-map/?
If you give the eircode to Vodafone do they say they can provide service?

Eir can change the Eircode on an active account.

Alternatively another provider setting up a new account just give them your new Eircode once you qualify for FTTH
