Not certain on the exact h.p when boost is kicked in so will leave that to someone else. I've drove a couple of them on and off over the years. Plenty of grunt in them and not refusing of abit of hard work.
Lots of lads round our way with them and would say the same for them on power.
as for the cab and gearbox. not to my liking anyway. range command gearbox i don't like. claas or massey would in my opinion have a somewhat simpler and equally good gearbox.

The cab i feel is unnecessarily high up on them if your up and down of her agood bit and abit wavy too, especially when speed built up on the road.
ultimately though with all that said there still a good alround tractor and seem well reliable.

The high bonnet ones are more desirable than the low bonnet ones especially if exercising all the ponies. Much better cooling system.

The models and series of this era of NH are somewhat confusing still even to this day. Half the time only the eagle eyed spotter would know whether you had the lighter driveline or the heavier one.

T6070 Elite is a common rail engine, 140hp off boost and up to 178hp with boost. Boost on these is not an on-off thing once light is on on the dash, it will only apply required increase based on inputs from the driveline in relation to PTO load, hydraulic load and if you are on the road, it was only available in Auto mode but I think that’s changed now on later models.

The 6070 Elite could be got with the 16x16 40 series based transmission (17 gears if you had 50k) or the heavier versions had either Range or Power Command gearboxes, with 18 or 19 x 6 depending on 40k or 50k versions.

Depending on which transmission version you are looking at, will be a different set of things to look out for.

The high bonnet version mentioned in the post just above is on the shortwheel base models only, range or power command and would be about 2009 onwards around the time the T6090 was introduced.

16x16 transmission versions generally reliable, no major issues.

18/19 x 6 Range and Power Command, can suffer transmission issues depending on the life they’ve had and how they’ve been treated. 50k bearing another weak point on the 19 speed versions, can be a costly repair if bearing spins in the housing. Brakes need care too and if never been checked, should be high on the list to do if you buy one of those versions, depends on hours etc.

    Hope it helps.
