Flaking Paint on house exterior

    Hi All
I recently purchased a house and the entire outside of the house is flaking paint and I am wondering the best/easiest way to prep the walls so they can be painted?

I used a power washer in the past for a similar job but it made an absolute mess all around the house so I am a bit slow to do this again. Is this the best/only way?

Also, was going to give a coat of Sandtex stabilizing solution to walls before painting. Any thoughts here?

    Thanks all.

pressure washer, and expect a mess. There is no half measures to this. let it dry out fully before prepping and repainting to avoid the flakes in future.

After power washing, you can mix some E_B ( Emulsa Bond) into the first coat of paint. It is a stabiliser and bonder all in one and will leave your paint rock solid for years

So do you recommend putting a coat of stabiliser on the walls first or just mixing the E_B into the paint? Obviously the second option would be much easier...

Power wash walls, add EB into first coat only. subsequent coats don't need it. EB is a stabiliser and bonder all in one. No need for a separate stabiliser ( though it is more expensive)
