Is it hard to get a bord bia inspector job or is it something that people would or wouldn't do?

Worse than this would be a person working trying to get people pass the bord bus audit.

I would say trying to get some people passing the audit would be extremely tough. Also would the farmer pay up if they failed on some thing the farmer had wrong.

are you looking at it from the point of view of a person helping a farmer get ready for the actual audit? i am looking at it from the point of view of the actual inspector that comes out doing the audit. the last one that came out to me was a dairy farmer and i was wondering would it be a good way to supplement income

Hi have a couple of friends who have done this for a few years. It's not hard to get into SWS and Agridata are always taking on people.

That in itself should ring alarm bells as they turn over huge numbers of staff, one of the guys I know did it said he wouldn't wish it on his worst enemy. The money is poor and organising inspections is a complete pain in the hole.

    Heard that
Dairy audits is the only one that pays anyway fair

You,do want to be doing 3-4 beef/sheep audits in a day to make it any way substantial and then as above trying to get lads tee'd up close by all on the one day would be a ball breaker

They had an add looking for people maybe 4 years ago in the journal. I sent off the cv but alas got a very nicely written “not this time”! Iirc they required a quality or agricultural qualification. Most inspectors seem to move on alright, it’s like it’s stepping stone.
