Suggestions for Tenerife

Thinking of taking a family holiday on Tenerife for a week at Easter and am looking for recommendations on the best town/resort to stay in.

Our "kids" are 19 (boy) and 17 (girl), so they will want an area with pubs, clubs etc as well as pool or beach relaxation during the day. My wife loves hill walking, and I love scuba diving. We also like a bit of local culture if possible. Together we like fun stuff like theme parks or water parks.

Would ideally like somewhere that gives easy access to all the above, but would like to avoid the busiest touristy areas.

For simplicity will probably book a package (with TUI, maybe?)

We haven't done a lot of foreign/package holidays, normally preferring to spend time in Donegal, but wanted to try something different for once

Suggestions of specific destination, as well as any package companies to look at, would be very welcome. Fly from Dublin is OK - Shannon would be ideal, but I don't think there is much from there at that time of year

    Thanks

I’d like to suggest Costa Adeje. It’s on the fringes of playa de las americas but a town of its own. The beaches are excellent and it has a good selection of pubs restaurants etc. It’s still less than 30 mins from the airport but you’ve ready access to the other attractions of the island. Siam Mall is a very good shopping centre ( believe me I generally don’t like shopping centres but I love Siam Mall ) you can walk from Costa Adeje to the centre of las Americas along the beach path a few km. The beach at Playa La Pinta is safe, well serviced and alongside the marina for any offshore trips. Check it out at skyline webcams.

Los Cristianosis is also option. It's quieter than nearby Playa de las Américas but within easy reach if someone in the group wants to visit the bars/clubs.

What you describe ie bars/clubs for young people mostly centred in the south west coast of island.

Think Los Christianos nicer then Adeje much of which is hilly as far as I remember, between Los Cristianos and playa america probably best beach and nice area.
