Dole merchants, welfare recipients or whatever you like to call them exist. Its unfortunate but thats society, to have rich people there has to be poorer people. Some people are there through circumstance, others are there because the amount they can get provides a lifestyle they are happy with.

The anger at this group is insane. If welfare recipients have it so great and so easy, why dont we all just get fired and go on the dole?
Because its a crap place to be. You have very limited means. You have to take course after course even if you dont intend to work. Your standing, position and means in life cannot change. You dont have control over most of your circumstances. If that works for some, they can sleep at night knowing all that, good for them, i wish i could be that at peace with life.

It doesnt work for most of us and this is why we work, to build better lives for our families and ourselves. The option is always there. Im glad it is as its a safety net. In ireland, you can only fall so far. thats amazing. its not like the US where there are literal tent cities of people just like the rest of us, but have fell on hard times. literal tent cities. LA is disgusting for this.
The there is a cost for this safety net unfortunately and we pay it in taxes.

If specifics of the welfare practices great on you, talk to your local councilors & TD's. Theres a GE on the way, make your vote count. If nobody represents your beliefs & you feel strongly enough about it, run for government.

People spend too much time being bitter. be thankful for the safety net, hope you never need it, continue to do your best, to better your life for you and your family.

it has nothing to do with them 'just existing' or 'being jealous' as to why people dont want to live next to them. If they were all sitting at home quietly raising their children properly, cleaning the house, cutting the grass, applying for jobs all day nobody would have an issue.

Most welfare recipients actually work, or are at home causing no disruption. The group you refer to are a tiny portion, and cause as much grief for other welfare recipients ad they do with people who don't need welfare.
These few could be handled with basic law enforcement, making the issue how the law is upheld, or not upheld as the case may be.

Very true, it's the culture of delinquency and how it's tolerated and even excused, that infuriates tax payers

let me put that incorrect statement to bed , we did this before , from the governments own housing stats guide :

    499831.jpeg
only 16% of social housing main applicants actually are fully employed, 62% only get income from social welfare, and before you want to break out the 'but what about the carers' theyre part of that 13% 'other' category.

Nobody said fully employed. There are a lot on part time, 3 day weeks, zero hour jobs etc.

So yea, if we're putting it to bed let's be completely accurate and break it down so were not assuming anyone not in full time employment isn't working.

no, but 62% of them are in receipt of social welfare only , there is a majority chance that if you have a social house next to you that they do not work, at all. Not part time, not anything, SW only is 62% of tenants.

Apparently anyone on welfare spends their days on scrambler, robbing, drinking, littering and being a nuisance.

There's no grey area, welfare = delinquent, at least on boards.
