Any one on here running the older Class rakes. What are your opinions on them raking for a Baler.
What is the ideal width rake for a Baler.

Looking at rakes last year but didn’t buy. Any lad I was talking to told me to match the rake to the mower, it’s not really an issue if Tedding but important if rowing straight behind the mower. My baker man told me he was happy at twenty to twenty two foot raked up for the baler
I had a lad row up thirty foots and in a heavy crop it’s torture on a baler.

In a light to medium crop then 3 10fts for a fusion is ideal

Probably raking grass that has been spread with the vanes on a conditioner. Has anyone experience with the older class. Lely and krone seem to be most popular in this area.

No in rows. I raked it myself. Raked one field in 20s and one in 30s. The baler man reckoned the fusion was happier taking the 30s. Theres a fair mouth on them fusions
