Got a few rooms in the house with horrid Woodchip wallpaper. Takes a while to strip, but another solution is the above, it is thick wallpaper, so smooths over the Woodchip. It is alleged that it also helps to keep heat in.

It is quite pricey at €40-€50 for a 10 meter roll, before buying it I was wondering has anyone bought it?

are the walls with the woodchip insulated? if they werent, I would slab and skim them and then paint, if you have the budget

The walls are plasterboard, which I think counts as insulation. Adding another layer of insulation might be a good way to keep the house toasty.

It's physically impossible for wallpaper to be significantly insulating.

If you can afford it reslab and skim the walls.

Our place was covered in woodchip when we bought it.

There's hard ways and easy ways to get it off.

    Hard way.

    Use a steamer.

    Easy way.

Use a wall paper perforator , wall paper remover solution in a large sprayer slightly warmed. Spray walls half hour before . Leave it then apply five minutes before and them scrape off with a 4inch and an 8 inch plasterer finishing blade.

Steamers turn woodchip into a gluey mess .
