Hey all. My seller account has been suspended on Amazon because now i need a tax number in order to sell anything. I dont understand why an individual seller needs one if they dont have a business. I rarely use my account but so handy when you want to sell a second hand product on, thats in good nik. Does anyone have any advice on what to do? Is there another way around it other than registering for a business in Ireland that i dont need?

This doesn’t really seem like a tax question. I’m not familiar with how selling on Amazon works but if you aren’t a business you aren’t a business - either Amazon are confused / under the impression that you are a commercial seller, or they’ve a policy of seeking a tax number from all sellers, commercial or otherwise.

You do / should have a tax number already though, it’s your PPS number.
