I have a new house where there is a very good front door. The seller had an outdoor american style postbox and they've brought it with them so I need a letterbox fast.

Not sure whether I should get one cut into the door or just buy one of them metal boxes and get it attached to the wall.

Is there anyone who provides a supply and install letter box or is it basically a DIY job?
    thanks,

Dont put a hole in your door. Go to Woodies/B&Q or even Amazon and get the metal box for the wall .

Open it. Mark the two screw points. Drill. Plug. Marry her up and screw :)

Had a couple myself. Can't honestly remember now if it's two screws or three? Or, it the washers come with it. Use washers ;)

    Definitely dont cut the door,
    Woodies or B&Q
Alternatively if you tend to receive packages in the post you may consider purchasing an "an Post" box which allows you to receive parcels from an post without having to sign for them anymore,
The box will have a small barcode on the side which they scan instead of your signature
The postman or lady then has a masterkey to open the box insert your delivery or post.

If you can get one a plastic one - the metal ones rust quickly.

But definitely don't cut your door.

I've replaced my front door for a composite door and decided not to get a letterbox.

Got a post box fitted to the wall. Its big enough to take A4 Size. Dont buy a cheap one in Woidies/B&Q , I bought a decent one online tgatbshoujdnt rust.
