It seems a non-brainer to inform people so that they get into the habit of them when they grow up and start earning

They do. At least they did when I did business organisation way back before the earth cooled.

As an aside, pensions aren’t hard to figure out. Anybody with access to the google machine has access to ‘how do pensions work?’

I also briefly mentioned them been mentioned in business studies.
I'm not sure would you take much notice of it in school tough if there was a few classes on it.

Some younger staff working with us cant even read a payslip properly when they start. Hard to believe but not that uncommon.

So I assume they don't learn this in school either.

At the point at which parents take responsibility for the ‘cop on’ and get your sh1t together’ aspect of learning.

They probably cut it from the “curriculum” due to the large volume of students falling asleep.

Pensions are incredibly boring. A good way to “avoid” tax but other than that, very boring.

Yep, I did business studies and biz org in the mid 90's and learned the basics of pensions.
Along with Taxation in both subjects as well as in Maths.

    I know people like this.
They can't cook something or read a payslip but it involves setting up a piece of technology or applying make-up or something they can be well able to find out.
