    has anyone travelled to Dubai or their own before or know anyone that did? Is it safe?

    Ye its grand. I got a taxi to the hotel as I arrived at night but shouldn't have bothered.
    Have a look at google maps first to see where your staying. The main train in dubai is very handy to use and goes from the airport to a good few of the hotels/ main attractions.

    Dubai is incredibly safe, if you are Gay as your avatar implies then best to remain in the closet for the trip or else find a more liberal destination.
