From Xtrail to Golf?

So I don't need my Nissan X-Trail for what I once needed it for. I do short runs now, minimal mileage per year. Thinking about trading it in for a Golf or similar.

What I have at the moment is this.
    Nissan X-trail 1.6 DCI Tekna 5 Seats 128BHP 5DR, 2014
All leather, cameras, satnav, parking sensors, roof rails and side step bars, it's in mint condition and has only 35,000 Km on it. Think it was top of the range at the time.

I'd probably go for a petrol Golf 5 door in around the same year or slightly newer.
The reason for a switch to petrol is mainly for the short runs I'd be using it for.

Anyway guess what I'm asking is would I get a decent trade in for the Nissan? If I was to put an extra 5k cash with trade in would I get a decent car?
Cheers if you all have any thoughts.

Might be worth trying a Windsor used car place, they do 3 year warranty on used cars and will probably give you a better trade in on a Nissan than most with the added bonus of the large used stock choice.
