    4.30 Ch City Ramblow

In a Mickey mouse class 6 classified stakes race I give this one a right
good chance if on a going day.

It's drawn very wide here (12 box) in a fourteen runner race, which I
believe will suit her and bring out the best of her ability as I feel being held up gives her a far better chance of winning than being up with the pace or in mid - div with all the cut and thrust that goes with that sort of a ride.

So my instructions:D to Danny Muscutt will be to do a Jamie Spencer on
it and get her settled out the back early on, go the shortest possible
route and push the button about 1 - 1&1/2f from home, or more if he
feels his mount is travelling well; and if he can, win, and to win as far as he likes, handicap mark bedamned.

For some reason this one has been a non-runner its last two engagements
but today things are in her favour:
1 The wide draw as mentioned
2 The horses on her outside and the one directly on her inside are fillies &
mares so she should be content enough before the start amongst her
    own sex.
3 I think there will be enough pace on here and the race could be set up for
    a closer.
(As an aside I don't think the race will suit the favourite, an undependable conveyance and if I had a betfair account i'd be having a place lay on Rab Havlin's mount.)

I'll clutch onto any kind of straws I can when I see a horse available at the price this one is that I feel has a great chance.

33s are readily available on this one and bits and pieces of 40s but it wouldn't surprise me to see it go off as low as tens or conversely double its current price - it is poor fare after all.

If anyone wants to ridicule the methodology/reasoning behind the selection
or this post please feel free to, before the race preferably. I won't respond but have at it anyway.

It's my opinion that if you don't leave yourself open for a level of derision
regarding your selections every now and then on an anonymous forum, then you don't really have that strong of an opinion on them to begin with, especially ones big into double figures such as my selection here.

I also think that it's a good way of selecting whether or not to have a bet in any race using the criteria albeit from an anonymous perspective and that is "would I put my line of thinking about a horse's chance in a post on a publically accessable forum?" I'm hoping it will serve me well to keep that in mind when having a punt now and into the future or indeed for anyone else who reads/posts here.

    To each their own though.

General observations not related to the chances of the daughter of Notnowcato coming :

The lamentations do come a regular on this particular forum rangingfrom this place is very quiet to this place is going downhill. Usually one or the other. Never seen any post praising the forum or stating that it's never been better. Complaints mainly.

And then there's the long-grassers who rarely post a selection or opinion of their own and only seem to come on to knock the mainly non cliqued up posters; especially those who go out of their way to have their own threads usually to provide big priced/value selections. Fair play to them I say and anyone else who wants to contribute his/her opinion. The information or lack of, good bad or otherwise is free after all.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that no one has to pay heed to anyone else's selection, are not obligated to follow and are also allowed/capable of doing their own research and can have a bet or keep their money in their pocket. And to add, it's so bloody easy if you disagree with something someone says to not bother your a$$ replying to it as surprising as that may be to some.

    Back on topic

Recommendation: win or each way or to come placed or bet on something else or have no bet at all or scratch yourself but i'm imploring Alex Dunn not to scratch Ramblow here :D as I think i'm on to a winner to the extent that a pt e/w is invested.

Gluck if you're having a bet

TLDR Don't waste your time reading the above garbage..

    1.35 Catterick

    3 small bets recommended here

    1. Multipede 1 pt win 8/1 generally
3rd chse start, should like the ground, cheekpieces applied for the first time,
trainer had a winner on Monday.

    2. Zakety Zak 1/2 pt e/w 50/1 pp
Having his second run for C. Grant. Was previously with a pretty unheard of
trainer in J R Turner who managed to get a win out of him so he must have
some ability (still in same ownership).

    3. Geordielandgangsta 1/2 pt place lay ? odds (not on betfair)
Don't know why this yoke is favourite. Has no decent form at all.

Disclosure, not having a bet in this race. Just my opinion is all

    2.05 Catt

Another race to watch, for me. May have a bet, not decided yet.

like 2 at big prices each way

    Alph 1/2pt e/w 40/1 pp

    Raymond 1/2pt e/w 20/1 gen

Something has to come third. Just the 8 go to post so hoping for no
    non-runners.

    Gluck

No lay recommendation here, top 2 (Pileon & Malaystic) don't want to oppose them

Going has changed to soft here at Catt, didn't consider that when making selections.

They were all based on gd, gd to sft ground so they may not have as much of a chance as I thought.

Scandalous - how hard is it to stick a bloody stick in the ground and let the punter know the correct going.

    #downwittreatingpunterslikemushrooms.

1.35 Catterick, Cudgel, around 100/30 and I think it will win. Few good runs and the race is horrible today. Very nice price to recoup losses.
