    Ms

I ask because I was in town today and came close to getting it by a fast moving mobed or small bike. It was not the drivers fault it was mine. I was crossing the road down near Connolly station the one way street that goes to it and had noticed a bike but not the mobed. Needless to say the driver was not to happy either just let out a yell and shake of the hand like what on F1 driver would do lol.
There was another time when some crazy bitch in a yellow Mini tryed too hit me in Liffey Valley.
So when or have you ever had a close one?

    Live long and Prosper

    Peace and long life.

I got out on the right hand side of my mother's car once, getting a lift to school, and a lad from my class was cycling and trying to race one of the 6th Year lads (who was traveling on a moped) and he ploughed straight into me in the middle of the road. We both got up and had a fist fight, then went to school as normal. Ended up being friends after that!

Yep, I got hit by a car years ago walking to the bus for college. 100% my fault. Didn't cause the driver any stress and rightly so. I was an idiot and not paying attention.

Both, many times. Sometimes my fault, sometimes not.

Cycling my bike I crashed into a parked car once, just the once mind :pac:

Basically I was eyeballing the speedometer on the bike to see how fast I could go, when next thing I know I’m in a heap on the road with my chin split open.

I figured I must have went face first into the bonnet of the car as there was no damage done to the car at least. My face and the bike were in bits.

Car, bike, train, runaway fork truck, yes to all.

As a young teenager I lived near a disused train station, it was our playground/hideout, and handy for sipping a few cans.
It very nearly killed me one drunk day.

Cars and bikes all the time, and stray fork truck in work one day just missed me.

In 1995 I was knocked down by a cyclist on Aisling Quay in Dublin. I suffered two fractured elbows and a fracture wrist, the little bastard picked up his bike and fucked off.

With both arms in in casts you'd think the worst part with be taking a pee (I'm a man) or wiping your ass, however for me and us as a family the very worst part of it was when my daughter was born shortly afterwards the hospital staff [understandably] wouldn't let me hold her.

Was walking across a petrol station forecourt a few years ago and a taxi driver spun in at a good speed but was looking at something to his side.
I tried to jump out of the way but wasn't in time, ended up rolling across the bonnet.
Walked away without a scratch but id say if I hadn't tried jumping it would have been a different story!
Felt a bit like superman after lol

Got hit by big Car once, hurt like hell so it did - but Car was like that, she'd hit anyone that dared even look at her! It's sad really, she was probably very unhappy - she was an extraordinarily big see, you wouldn't dare call her 'Big Car' to her face, I'll tell you that! - no no, I remember one boy did that once, well - let's just say he didn't do it again! He couldn't in fact! Caroline, Car... or Caz at a stretch – call her 'Big Car' though, and it'd be lights out! Bad, bad idea! Those days are long gone now, I sometimes wonder how she is. I hope she's happy anyway. Simple times, good times.

Eh, the OP is only interested if you came close to getting hit, thanks.

I ran out in front of a car as a child, the car was luckily travelling at a very low speed so I wasn’t hurt, but I did get a fright. It was completely my own fault but the poor driver was distraught.
I remember him calling over a day or two later with a new barbie for me, and my mam gave him a bottle of whiskey and box of chocolates to apologise for my stupidity.

No ‘whiplash’ or insurance claims and we all wished each other well & moved on with our lives.

Ran out of laneway without looking she 12yoa, splatted by car and cut head on road. Neighbour hit me my fault, his it from parents with hair neighbour never mentioned it.
Cycling around Stephens Green a car stopped in traffic and opened the door and hit me sideways into the ground, just missed a Metal bollard. Was livid, the driver got out and apologised for the passenger that did it and said they were too scarred to talk to me, Was in bits.
Cycling it town, got hit by van door and bounced into another van, road shut taken by ambulance to hospital, while body black an blue for weeks and couldn't lie down.
As a teenager cycled into lots of backs of cars.
Older now and no real accidents as cycle very carefully always taking the lane. The main issue is close passes, cycle 16km/day and have many close passes every day with cars and buses overtaking you so close they have wheels in the cycle lane or they just creep into the land like crushing you slowly won't damage too much.
Anyway take care and stay awake.

Many many years ago when I was an 8yo coming home from school. In those days we didn't get chauffeured everywhere and walked to school. I was waiting at at a pedestrian crossing with other kids. The lollipop lady walked to the middle of the crossing but had not told us to cross yet. As I stepped on to the crossing a car screeched to a halt and stopped just inches from me. I got the shock of my life and still remember the noise the tyres made. I also remember the telling off I got from the lollipop lady for not waiting for her to call us over. She never said a word to the arsehole who tried to crash through a pedestrian crossing with a lollipop lady on it and kids waiting to cross, just waved him on. Even at that age I felt a sense of resentment that it was somehow all my fault.

Yep my ex bitch was sucking me off close to a tree. Just as I ejaculated a car crashed into the tree. I came close to getting hit by a car.

I worked on a go kart track in Toronto years ago. the owner used to let stag party's and hens on the track drunk. one day i was in the pits and only one of my colleagues let a shout I would have been cut in half. a drunk woman drove in full speed and smashed into a parked kart that I was standing behind.

another near miss i had was walking across the old bridge in enniscorthy. a truck mounted the footpath and i had to jump onto the wall of the bridge to evade getting squashed. my whole life flashed before my eyes ; )

Never by a bike but multiple times by drivers who don't understand what a pedestrian crossing is. Just last week a c*nt (if you're reading this, yes thats what I shouted at you, you total twat) in a white van breezed past me as I was about to step out on one. Then there were the numerous times when cycling, cars flying past me, a foot from the handlebar. Some folks have no consideration for others and care more about getting to their destination 10 seconds faster than if they hit someone with their car.
