    Hi ,

My front garden is concrete and to both sides I would like to put bushes for privacy . Can this be done by running sleepers along the sides and making it a good depth so I can plant some bushes ?? I don't plan on taking up the concrete.

    Thanks

    Ian

The concrete might prevent the raised bed draining properly and in that case the roots of many bushes will simply drown when we get periods of heavy rain. Can you drill through the concrete or improve the drainage of the raised beds in some other way?
