Rent a room scheme query

Heya,

Hoping someone here can help me. I rented out a room in my house last year under the rent a room scheme and earned about €5,000. I'm trying to enter this on my account on Revenue.

I've selected 2019 and navigated to non-PAYE income, other income, rental income. However, I'm not sure how to fill out the form that follows and no one is answering the phones in Revenue. I tried just inputting the gross rent received and nothing else, but it won't let me advance.

Its in section 5 "Tax credits & reliefs"

Expand "You and your family section"

Its listed as Rent-a-room relief

That seems to add a tax credit for the amount of income. Do I not need to input the actual income somewhere else though?

Just select the relief and enter in the figure you received. That's all you have to do to record it.
