Hi, i started a new job back in september, and when i log into my Ros online my account, its showning No present employment. My payslips say im paying tax, usc and prsi, but nothing is coming up on my online account. I rang revenue this morning explaining and was told that my employer needs to register me asap as my taxes are all wrong since i started this employment.
I asked could i fill it out online myself, but was told that it has to be the employer to register me.
Ive asked my employer to register me today.
Dose this mean i will owe aload of tax to the revenue? Or shall i recieve some back?

Impossible to know without your earnings for the year, pension, any taxable social welfare, tax/usc paid along with credits and cut off.

You need to ask your employer for their company number and then go online to your revenue account and register your employment yourself. Revenue is incorrect in saying that you cannot do it yourself, and under the new PAYE system, it is easier than ever to do it.

Do your payslips show you are on Emergency Tax (Status E) ? If so, then your employer has assumed you are on these rates so at least you are paying taxes, etc. When you register your employment, the employer should get a new RPN (tax credits certificate) and this would put you on the correct status. This is normally Cummulative (or Status N - normal) Make sure you keep the payslips as this is your proof that you deductions have been made on your behalf and if they have been incorrectly allocated, you will get them reallocated into your Revenue account.

If you are logging on ROS (rather than myAccount), are you selecting "Review Your Tax 2016 - 2019" towards the bottom left of the screen?

When is the money (including lost growth) Michael Noonan took in the Pension Levy going to be paid back?

Logging into my account and click 'manage your tax 2020'

ROS is for businesses. If you are PAYE worker, log in under My Account.
